Non-Process took from the Non-Silver processes portions of the Van Dyke Brown method for resolving prints and combined that with HP Inkjet printers. I injected the photo-sensitive chemicals for Van Dyke Brown directly into the ink cartridge and rendered images directly from the computer onto printer paper. I then developed the prints by hanging them in my windows for the day. This piece remediated typical aspects of this particular Non-Silver process by doing such things as eliminating the use of a light-resist. It created a new context for the process in part by introducing the wide open possibilities of connecting a programmable and dynamic computer interface to one end of it. The output of this project was on 8.5 x 11 sheets of Office Max brand non-archival white printer paper. |
