What a night! First and foremost, The Emphasis would like to give a big thank you to Rob and Tim from Dirty Larry for coming to our rescue They were so nice to loan Johnny and Dan a their guitar and bass guitar when Johnny and Dan both managed to break a string on the same song. I mean, how many times do you loan your instrument to a stranger just out of the kindness of you heart? Much love Rob and Tim! Moving on, big ups to Suburban Legends. My god do they put on a hell of a show, I've never seen such circus come out of a set; the flips, chorography, and air born instruments, thats just whoa. Thanks for everyone for coming out, much love to yall. Our next show is this tuesday at the OWL COVE @ Temple University, come if ya can! Starts at 7pm, 10 bones.

Man its been a while! Sorry for the lack of updates, but ill try to cover everything as much and quick as I can, ready, ok. First 5 songs for the full lenth are done, yea i know, it took forever. But seeing how long it took just to get these 5 done, there is no telling how long it will take to get the rest of the album done. So here's what we're gonna do. In addition to soon having a new, refined look to our website, our 5 songs will be up for streaming through our very own pop-up player. For now it seems that it will only be streamable, but don't worry, I'm sure we'll break an have them up for ya'll to download. Heh. In other news, summer is weeks away and be ready to see us play everywhere. We've been hiding out in the studio for months now and we think it's time to hit the stage again even though the full lenth still isn't done. We'll be finishing the rest of the album through out the summer and in between shows and hopefully should be done right before school starts up again. Speaking of school, we are playing at Temple University's owl cove next tuesday 4/27 and friday 4/30, please come if you can. And one more thing! This friday we play at S-field HS with THE SUBURBAN LEGENDS, Dirty Larry, and Fake Bakon! Please come out and see these awesome bands rock!

Hello again, sorry for the delay in news, but really not much has been going on that hasn't already been announced. We hit the studio during x-mas break and we hit it hard. We have 5 songs in the bag and all that is left to do on them is vox and mix, but sorry guys, we still aren't done even after those five, we have another 5 or 6 songs to write, record, and mix untill we come out with our new full lenth. Unfortunatly we hit the studio so hard, we had to stop for a least a week or two untill we can come up with some more money to pay for studio time! I know, it's taking forever, but rest asure it will all be worth it. In the mean time we are continuing to work on the rest of the album and picking up shows here and there, speaking of which, we have a show at Springfield HS this friday, JAN 30th, it should be fun and we hope to see all you Springfield natives there.

Ho ho ho, merry Christmas. So close but so far eh? Heh. In more relative news, we have been hard at work with the new songs; creating, organizing, finalizing etc.. and still aiming to get in the studio sometime around after Christmas. But don't get too excited, I wouldnt be surprised if the dates were pushed back, making new songs and getting them just they way we want em are a bitch! Heh, but believe me, it will be all worth it. The next two weeks are finals week for us, so on top of creating new songs, we still gotta ace these final tests. So wish us luck and for any of you that have finals as well, good luck to you from THE EMPHASIS.

Hey guys, it's Max, sorry about the lack of updates, but just know that the website will be updated as much as possible now that I have access to our website. For those of you that have been wondering, The Emphasis is still together and the reason for our lack of shows this recent summer is because we have been writting new material for a new full lenth due early of next year. Why so late you ask? Now that summer has ended all of us are super busy with school and work. But it's not that far, only 4 - 5 months? Don't worry, it will all be worth it. In the mean time, I have moved to center city in Phildelphia, so expect a few Emphasis shows at Philly venues. That's all for now, check again soon for more news, dont worry, there will be more news from now on.
